In Miami again...

Took this photo in front of Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. We rented a car to get us from the port to the airport. It cost about the same to have a shuttle get us there, but this way we'd have a bit of time to sight see and, of course, cache! It's a hot, humid day, but I think I got some good shots. To be posted later... We didn't get online while on the ship, but we'll back-post here once we get home.

Bon Voyage

Connecting Again

We traveled all Sunday and went out to dinner that night with friends. Most of these friends we haven't seen since our wedding. We'll be leaving on a cruise the next day for a high school reunion (25 years). It's odd to think that that much time has passed since we were all kids in high school.

All Quacked Up

We had a great time at the GeoBash. It was great meeting friends, seeing faces and hearing voices that we hadn't (live) before. Now it's time to duck out and head off to our next adventure!

Podcasting couples

We met Darryl & Drie from the Cache-A-Maniacs podcast for the first time in person. We recorded with them for a new, upcoming podcast (Cachers of the Round Table), and then they helped us with the sound, recording and photos for our morning Meet & Greet.

Recording Live...

On Saturday morning, we had a PodCacher meet & greet, and a bunch of people came! We used part of the time to show them how we record our shows - and we did it live. This started at 8:30 in the morning so we weren't sure how many people would show up. They started setting up chairs and at first we thought there would be many empty chairs - but it ended up being standing room only by the end!

We met up with SO many listeners at the 'bash - more photos to come. Here we are with Geekboy.from.Illinois and Clickchik in the parking lot. They were very generous supporters to help get us out to the Geobash.

We made it!

We're in Indiana!

Just had to stop and do a tourist picture. We actually got this photo on the way back from getting the cache in Ohio. They didn't have a "Welcome to Ohio" sign, but Sonny has a plan... stay tuned.

Getting another state

In order to get credit for a state you have to find at least one cache in that state. We drove about 20 miles to the Ohio border, found the nearest cache and drove back. We did some cool pictures along the way too!

This trip's first find

A couple things that Sonny is not too excited about. First off, the yellow car in the background is not a taxi, it's actually our rental car. It's a Chevy Aveo. It's small, under-powered, and has manual everything, windows, doorlocks, no CD, etc. The other thing is the cache he just found. The cache was hidden in Sturgis, Michigan. It's an LPC (Lamp Post Cache). Not a very exciting cache. Sonny's doesn't like these and a listener hid it in his honor calling it "Sonny's favorite type of cache ... cache" ... Very funny.

Starting off @ Dad's

Our trip starts off with a short visit with dad before we head off to the airport. We had to get out there bright and early. Mom wasn't able to be there (she was at work) but we called her on the phone in the car on the way to the airport. We've got a long trip ahead of us. A 2 hour stop in Cincinnati and then eventually arriving in Indiana at 10pm. Whew!
