Stuck in traffic on the way to our family Christmas gathering. Turns out it was an accident after all. Here are the links we mentioned.

Heading home and just picked up some Tamales from a local shop. I talked about a website that you can use to track Santa! Go to noradsanta.org.

I'm testing a new feature...

I'm testing a new feature to post to this blog, I'm using Jott. Jott is a service that allows me to talk and then it will post it this blog. For instance, if Sandy and I were visiting another country we could talk to Jott and it would be able to post to our blog. Let's say if we were on listen

SDCUE Conference

Here at a tech conference with Isabel and Marlane. Okay, so this was really just to show my geek friends the capability of posting directly to this blog, straight straight from my cell phone. How sweet is that? Very. Uh huh, oh ya ...

Desert Resort

We are currently out in Indian Wells (near Palm Springs) for the week while Sonny attends the CETPA conference. October is a great time to be in the desert - beautiful weather and not too hot. We're hoping to find time for some sight-seeing and geocaching.

Lotsa Photos

What an amazing journey!

We've got a bunch of photos from our Caribbean Cruise. In fact too many to post (within reason) on this blog.

Here's a link to a flickr set. Pick and choose what you what you wanna take a look at:

We're back home now re-adjusting to "normal" life.

For 4 days we were waited on hand and foot. Meals were prepared and brought to us. We didn't have to clean our rooms (or even make the beds). Entertainment options were at every corner. Every day we'd wake up in a new place waiting to be explored.

Reality hits when on the first evening back we look at each other and say "What are we gonna do for dinner?"

In Miami again...

Took this photo in front of Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. We rented a car to get us from the port to the airport. It cost about the same to have a shuttle get us there, but this way we'd have a bit of time to sight see and, of course, cache! It's a hot, humid day, but I think I got some good shots. To be posted later... We didn't get online while on the ship, but we'll back-post here once we get home.

Connecting Again

We traveled all Sunday and went out to dinner that night with friends. Most of these friends we haven't seen since our wedding. We'll be leaving on a cruise the next day for a high school reunion (25 years). It's odd to think that that much time has passed since we were all kids in high school.

All Quacked Up

Podcasting couples

We met Darryl & Drie from the Cache-A-Maniacs podcast for the first time in person. We recorded with them for a new, upcoming podcast (Cachers of the Round Table), and then they helped us with the sound, recording and photos for our morning Meet & Greet.

Recording Live...

On Saturday morning, we had a PodCacher meet & greet, and a bunch of people came! We used part of the time to show them how we record our shows - and we did it live. This started at 8:30 in the morning so we weren't sure how many people would show up. They started setting up chairs and at first we thought there would be many empty chairs - but it ended up being standing room only by the end!

We made it!

We're in Indiana!

Getting another state

In order to get credit for a state you have to find at least one cache in that state. We drove about 20 miles to the Ohio border, found the nearest cache and drove back. We did some cool pictures along the way too!

This trip's first find

A couple things that Sonny is not too excited about. First off, the yellow car in the background is not a taxi, it's actually our rental car. It's a Chevy Aveo. It's small, under-powered, and has manual everything, windows, doorlocks, no CD, etc. The other thing is the cache he just found. The cache was hidden in Sturgis, Michigan. It's an LPC (Lamp Post Cache). Not a very exciting cache. Sonny's doesn't like these and a listener hid it in his honor calling it "Sonny's favorite type of cache ... cache" ... Very funny.

Starting off @ Dad's

Our trip starts off with a short visit with dad before we head off to the airport. We had to get out there bright and early. Mom wasn't able to be there (she was at work) but we called her on the phone in the car on the way to the airport. We've got a long trip ahead of us. A 2 hour stop in Cincinnati and then eventually arriving in Indiana at 10pm. Whew!

On our way home

We are on our way home. We've got alot of good audio to share when we get back. This pic was taken with our camera phone and sent directly to our blog from our plane home (on the runway in Atlanta, prepping to take off).

S&S Meet and Greet

We really enjoyed this event planned by JMTBuzz with help from joebids. It was awesome to meet another great set of geocachers and friends. Here we are posing outside the pizza place, before the recording began.

Exploring Stone Mountain

We spent all of Thursday at Stone Mountain Park. We rode the skyride to the top of the mountain of granite - amazing views - and found a few virtual caches up there. We also took a boat ride on the lake and a train ride around the base of the mountain. Check out more photos at our flickr set.

Stone Mountain Park

This picture was taken and sent from the top of Stone Mountain. More photos to come. We had to get a photo of Sonny with both his cameras - so we used the cell phone camera! =)

Convention Center - NECC location

Took this photo of Sonny outside the World Congress Center at the end of the conference day. He's been attending lots of sessions and also walking the vendor floor (see later photo) to gather information and strategies to take back to his school district (and of course, collecting swag).

On Sunday evening, the conference hosted a reception for all attendees and their families at the Georgia Aquarium. It was a madhouse, with thousands of people there! But later in the evening, after many of the people left, we were able to enjoy some of the amazing exhibits. See more photos at our flickr set.

CNN Headquarters

This brand new facility has only been open for a month. Here we are relaxing in a room full of Coke memorabilia and art. We had a great time, and I (Sandy) didn't tell anyone that I prefer Diet Pepsi! =)
